The implementation project of the PREWIT forecasting tool in 2022 followed several previous projects. Cooperation with STEINEX a.s. began with a logistics audit in 2019, followed by a distribution optimization project, and in 2021 a planning process optimization project was carried out. This naturally led to the need for accurate sales forecasting to enable optimal production planning.
Shortly before the PREWIT implementation project, a new ERP system, SAP Business One, was deployed at STEINEX a.s. At the same time as the PREWIT implementation, we worked together with colleagues from Inforis on optimizing the MRP module for production planning. Part of STEINEX’s product distribution is handled by Bidfood, so it was also essential to agree on transferring their end-customer sales data.
